All events are FREE thanks to the Friends of the Medfield Public Library and take place at the Library unless otherwise noted.

SUPER SMASH BROS. TOURNAMENT WITH ONE-UP GAMES!!!

Ready to throw down?  Join us for an epic battle at our Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Game Tournament presented by OneUp Games!  Winner takes all (well not all, but there will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place)!

Challenge your friends, choose your main, and see if you can last to the end!  BYOC (bring your own controller) or use ours.  Just register and get ready to rumble!

Do you love Pokemon?  Do you collect Pokemon cards?   Join us for our very own card club for trading and playing!  Snacks provided!

Join us during Medfield Climate Week to turn your old t-shirts into awesome, functional tote bags!   This workshop is all about giving your clothes a fresh life and creating a one-of-a-kind bag that shows off your unique style.  Learn easy DIY tricks (buttons anyone?), express yourself, and be part of the sustainable movement – all at the library!

Are you a fan of DIY projects? Exciting news for you – our new Zine Club is here!

 

Ready to dive into the world of zines and become a master zine artist? Save the date for our drop-in club meetings every Saturday from 2-3pm! We will provide all the necessary materials, along with some helpful tips and tricks from our resident zine expert, so all you need to do is show up and have fun with friends. Let’s design some zines to share and display in our Teen Space!

 

No worries if you are a zine newbie – we welcome all beginners! Just note that this program is open to individuals ages 13 and up!

NEW SESSIONS OF CHESS CLUB!

Level Up Your Chess Game! 
New sessions of our Chess Club will be starting Tuesday, May 7th!  We’re all about casual competition and honing your skills against other players, so come by to challenge your peers, strategize like a king (or queen!), and maybe even make some new chess buddies!
Registration is awesome, but showing up is even better.  Checkmate boredom and join the club!P.S.  Basic chess knowledge recommended, but all skill levels welcome!

DIY De-Stress Toolboxes!

School’s a drag, deadlines are looming, your parents are on your case, and someone just ate your last ice cream sandwich (the audacity)… Don’t freak, we got you!

 

Come hang out with us to learn about ways to stay positive, manage stress, and be a better friend to ourselves and others.  Think of it as building your own stress-busting toolbox!

 

We’ll cover self-care tips, staying focused, coping with everyday drama, and even share personal experiences (if you’re feelin’ it). Plus, register now and get FREE supplies to build your own toolbox!

Have a sewing/embroidery/knitting/crochet project that you started but can’t finish?  Do you want to learn new techniques or teach others what you know?  Then drop in at the library every Friday, and bring a project you’re working on or start a new one with friends!  There’s also snacks!

All skill levels welcome, no registration needed. Ages 13+.
